    • Club Mobay – Jamaica

Posted at 3:13 pm by taryngirl, on February 11, 2025

On my recent trip to Jamaica, I was able to try out Club Mobay!

      What is Club Mobay?

Club Mobay is an “express pass” through the Montego Bay Airport in Jamaica. There is an arrival and departure option (or round trip).

Upon arrival you will meet a VIP representative just after getting off of the plane. Your VIP rep will escort you through immigration, assist with getting your luggage from baggage claim, and going through customs. (This can save you so much time!) From there you are taken to a VIP lounge with snacks and drinks, Wi-Fi, and a restroom. You can spend time here between connecting flights, or while waiting for transporation to your resort. I loved this purely for the escort through immigration and customs! Also, being able to grab a bite to eat and having a welcome beverage was very nice before our hour and half drive to Ocho Rios.

There were actually two different arrival lounges and we visited them both! One was smaller than the other, but both had the same offerings.

We checked in at the counter and they took us to our seats. Our waiter came to take our order almost immediately.

We could order whatever we wanted off of these menus, and as much as we wanted. He came back to check with us multiple times!

      Rum Punch–This was delicious!

Fresh Fruit Salad–This was fine. It tasted like fruit out of a can.

Jerk Chicken Wrap–This was so good!

      Assorted Pastries–These were yummy!

      A pan around view:

When departing, you will meet your VIP representative after checking in with the airline and dropping your baggage. They will give you a receipt. Your VIP rep will take you through security quickly! From here you will go a the VIP lounge with snacks, drinks, Wi-Fi, and restrooms. This was WELL worth it in my opinion! The lounge was HUGE and clean. There were plenty of seats and we had our choice of where we wanted to sit. There were tons of snacks and a variety of drinks available.

The departure lounge (there were multiple depending on where your gate was located) was MUCH bigger than the arrival lounge! There were different options for seating. We were one of the first ones to arrive so it was empty. But by the time we were leaving, almost every seat was full.

We chose these seats on the right because we had a view of the ocean!

The beef patties and the rice and beans were AMAZING! It was nice to be able to sit here, charge our electronics, have unlimited food and drinks, and clean bathrooms. There was also Wi-Fi and announcements for departing flights. We didn’t have to go sit at a crowded gate!

I highly suggest this special service if you do not frequently travel internationally, if your travel days are on Saturdays or Sundays, or if you are traveling during a busy season. The departure option is a must in my opinion! The cost is well worth it.
